Summer is my favorite time of the year. Yes, it gets very hot in Texas but I love that everyone seems to slow down a bit and just enjoy things. It’s also when my birthday is so that could be part of it. I’m also a water bug so summers in the pool, at the beach, or in the river is where you’ll find me. In honor of that, I’ll be sharing my favorite summer party themes today.

First up is the beach party theme. You can’t go wrong with this one. Nothing says summer quite like the beach and there’s so many different ways to make this work for you.
BBQ and summer go hand-in-hand in the states and it’s a great theme past just the Fourth of July.
Bubbles are a fun summer theme and they can be bubbles that you blow outside or bubbles as in the drink. It makes it great for a kids party, an adult party, or a combination of the two. Bubbles for everyone!
One of my favorite childhood memories is camping every summer so I can’t do a summer party theme roundup without mentioning it. To me, summer and camping go hand-in-hand.
I love the flamingo idea for a bachelorette party or graduation party. Plan a “last flamingle” or ask people to “flamingle” at your party.
Not necessarily an obvious choice but fishing can certainly be a summertime activity and therefore a great party theme.
If you do happen to live in one of those areas that doesn’t get to be 1000 degrees in the summer then a garden party might for you.
Another no brainer in my opinion, but why not have an ice cream party?!
This one might seem really odd but I actually had a request for this a few years back and I kind of love it for a summer theme.
I love the idea of a mermaid party so much I had to make a mermaid tail invitation. It’s one of my favorites I’ve ever made.
I’ve touched on this one a little already but when I say nautical, think sailing, boats, all the fun things that go along with it.
Similar to a BBQ theme, the picnic is perfect if you want to do an outdoor party theme without serving actual BBQ.
Summer is the perfect time to party like a pineapple! This is a fun theme for a luau bachelorette party or a teen birthday party.
You really can’t go wrong with a pool party in the summer now can you?! If you’re a water bug like me, then it’s definitely a must do.
I love the idea of a popsicle party. Lots and lots of popsicles for desert and maybe make it poolside? Someone do this and report back to me.
Summer is the perfect time for a road trip so why not make the party road trip themed? This is great for a girls weekend to celebrate the bride-to-be or a special birthday trip!
It’s hard to get through summer without sunglasses. That was my inspiration for this next design and it’s perfect for any summer party.

Travel is a big passion of mine so I can’t have a summer themed party list without including travel as a possible theme. There are so many directions you can take this one and it’s great for any party.
Last but not least, watermelon can be a fun theme and an easy treat for the party!
