The holidays are officially here in the USA. Once Halloween is over, the great debate of “is it too soon for Christmas” begins, but I’m here to tell you it’s not too soon. In fact, there are a few holiday products that you need to purchase right now to make your life so much easier.
If you get these 4 things out of the way in November, you’ll have a much more stress-free December. You’ll have time to spend with your family, which is what it’s all about.
Now, if these aren’t things you normally purchase, then don’t. This isn’t a to-do list. However, if any of these items are something you love to do at the holidays then the time is NOW. So if you send cards, love that pesky elf, play games or send presents, this is for you.
Holiday cards are definitely something you want to order early. They take time to get sent out! I recommend ordering these by early November to mid November if you want to be early with them.
Now, if you don’t mind that your holiday card arrives after Christmas (and you shouldn’t mind) then order by early December and take your time with them. It’s not a big deal to get them out after Christmas. In fact, I love getting a few after the holidays because it gives me something to look forward to after the holidays.
I know the elf is a controversial topic but if you do it and enjoy (because you should enjoy if you do it, it’s not just for kids) then you need to act early on this one. In fact, every year I do a Christmas in July sale on my Elf kits to encourage customers to get ahead of the game. I give a big discount too so you’ll save money on it. I then start shipping them out in October so you’re ready to go.
Now, if that’s too early for you, then I recommend ordering your kit by early to mid November. Don’t wait until the end of November when your elf arrives on December 1st! You’ll feel so much better to have that done and ready to go.
If your family loves to play games, then don’t wait until everyone is together to search Pinterest and come up with something to do. You don’t have to plan as early but why not? There’s all kinds of fun family and kid games out there, and I’ve created game packs that work for a range of ages.
Games aren’t just for family time, let the kids play while you get the house read for the holidays. They’re going to be home more right before, have some fun activities around so you don’t have to worry about it. Honestly, I recommend ordering these by mid November so you can have them for Thanksgiving too!
Finally, we are all going to do some wrapping this holiday. Skip the last minute Amazon orders and get your wrapping from a small shop by planning ahead. Imagine having all your wrapping supplies ready and waiting for you when it’s time to watch that Hallmark movie marathon. I recommend ordering your wrapping in early November. You can get gift card holders, tags, stickers, and bags in the shop!
Those are my top four items that I always tell people to order early, however, there’s always more! Consider ordering your holiday decor early as well, such as ornaments, party decor, or Christmas printables early as well.
